Self–Esteem
October 15, 2009“I’m ugly”
“I’m no good at sport’s or in my school work.”
Perhaps you have even looked at your self in the mirror and wished that you were someone else? Maybe a famost actor or a sports hero? if you answer yes? myou’re in good company probably everyone who has ever lived wished that they could change at least one physical feature; their nose, their hieght, wieght-somethjing.
But beautiful people con be scarred in accidents. Some wealty people are very insecure, alway’s worried about losing their money or their possessions, Jesus the son of God, offered all the riches of the world by Satan if you only he would worship Satan, Jesus anwered “Worship the Lord you’re God and serve him only.”
Jesus, also the greatest teacher who ever lived, knows that Satan’/s strategy is to keep our focus off to nGod, and the infortance of inward beauty and character. He taught his disciples that blessing, true happiness and lasting benefits are the result of seeking first his kingdom and his righteousness.
If we rely on beauty, wealth, possessions, friendship and other outward aspects of our life, for our self-worth, we find temporary fulfilment and happines. But true lasting worth can be measured only in spiritual terms.
